New Classes Revealed!
We recently changed the cover image of Project: Velyria’s Facebook page.
It reveals eight of the game’s several classes. We’re going to talk more about them in the future and on the upcoming website redesign but, until then, we’re only revealing their names.
From left to right:
The Paladin, the Ranger, the Mechanic, the Psychic, the Royal Guard, the Engineer, the...

Do you support webcomics? Take this one question survey:
1. Do you take the RSS feed of over 90 webcomics, rip the images, put them in your Android app, and then put your own advertisements next to them in order to make money?
Congratulations: If you said “Yes”, then NO, YOU DO NOT SUPPORT…

Aikonia Guest Comic Week
This past week marked the end of the second chapter of Aikonia and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Our readership has grown substantially over the past months and for that, we are thankful. To celebrate, we had a week of guest comics depicting some hilarious non-canon scenes from around the Institute. We really appreciate the time and effort the guest comic artists put in for...

Batman
Timothy Hely: So apparently it's a Batman/Ghostbusters day today in webcomics-land? How come nobody told me? :P
Andrew-David Jahchan: Damn it. Why isn't our comic ever on the same page as the others? >:(
Corina Dransutavicius: I don't know, guys. I think it would be pretty hard to work Batman into the comic. Although...
Corina Dransutavicius: Imagine this: A few students are walking down a hallway, chatting amongst themselves. A dark shadowy figure is hanging from the ceiling and watching them pass. We catch a glimpse of vivid pink hair as the figure leaps down in front of the students.
Corina Dransutavicius: Student A (shocked) says "Wha-?! Councillor! Where did you come from?"
Corina Dransutavicius: Ariel (complete with fish teeth and evil eyes) says "I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN."
Corina Dransutavicius: Ariel then swoops away. Like a bat.
Andrew-David Jahchan: AHAHAHAHAHAHA

End of Chapter Two
Whelp. This page marked the end of Aikonia’s second chapter.
It’s been quite a chapter and we’re really happy with the final result. Katie’s done an amazing job with the artwork and it’s clear that she just keeps on getting better!
Of course, we wouldn’t even be this far if it weren’t for all our amazing readers, so thank you all so much for the...

2011: A year in review
This past year has been insane… Insane in all the great ways that accompany seeing your creations come to life and witnessing the beginnings of a truely awesome community. And insane in all the knuckle-whitening ways that comes along with deadlines, paperwork and living up to expectations.
At the start of 2011, we were just beginning to work on Project: Velyria, our very first venture into...

Canadian Corporation Announcement
Hello everyone!

In early 2009, we founded “MADSOFT Games”, a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the United States, and today, we’ve transferred the company over to Canada and changed it into a Federal Corporation (INC)!
This probably doesn’t make much of a difference to you, but to us,...

M&MD2: The Dinosaur's Name
Hello, all!
Nick here again.
So, one of the many changes in “Me and My Dinosaur 2” is the new ‘system’ for naming your dinosaur. Rather than a dynamic text-entry, we’re sorting it down to a list of 36 names of which you’ll choose from. This is particularly because of the problem we had with the original where people named their dinosaur inappropriate or...

Announcing: Space Chase
Hello everyone,
I’m Tim Hely and I’m very excited to tell you about our new game: Space Chase!
Space Chase is a flash game developed by Ryan Malm and myself using the Flixel Engine, with music by Josh Whelchel and some artwork by Katie Tiedrich.
You play as an astronaut stranded on a derelict mining facility on some asteroid. Something has knocked out the power, and all the people...

Me and My Dinosaur 2: Snatchhound Preview
Hello everyone,
Nick here with a little info on our upcoming game: “Me and My Dinosaur 2”! Here’s a preview of the game’s most basic of enemy, the Snatchhound. Like all the enemies in the game, it’s a combination of multiple different animals. This one being a splicing of various canines, which were supposedly undocumented. A frisky little dog that patrols areas...

For this brand new year, we decided to completely re-brand MADSOFT. We used to develop flash games, but after much thought, we came to the conclusion that we will...
