Happy Valentines day!
Just a quick sneak peek :)
M&MD2: The Dinosaur’s Name
Hello, all!
Nick here again.
So, one of the many changes in “Me and My Dinosaur 2” is the new ‘system’ for naming your dinosaur. Rather than a dynamic text-entry, we’re sorting it down to a list of 36 names of which you’ll choose from. This is particularly because of the problem we had with the original where people named their dinosaur inappropriate or politically incorrect names and we don’t want to have to deal with censorship.
So, with this, I’m also involving some community participation, and allowing our readers to suggest names for the dinosaur.
There are 36 slots and three slots have been filled with the names “Rex” (default), “Spike”, and “Finkleton”. Although, there can always be more than 36 names if we happen to get a lot of really good name suggestions.
Rules/Notes:
- Remember that this particular dinosaur is quite dog-like (chases bones, barks, and is very friendly).
- No dirty names. This is a family-friendly game!
- The dinosaur’s gender is male - but that doesn’t mean we can’t give him emasculating names.
- The name should include no more than ten characters.
- Suggest names by commenting on this post.
Me and My Dinosaur 2: New enemy + Animation Process
Hey everyone!
Nick here, and this time with a special preview of an enemy from “Me and My Dinosaur 2: and a step-by-step animation of how that enemy was animated.
I give you, the Lisquid:
(There are buttons there, use them to stop, play, and rewind the animation).
This little sucker is spliced from an octopus, urchin, and jellyfish. They’re filled with flammable gases that allow them to breathe fire. Those same gases also makes them highly explosive!
Me and My Dinosaur 2: Title Design
Hello, Nick here again,
This time with some more M&MD2 goodness! With some assistance from Andrew-David, I finally whipped up a title design for Me and My Dinosaur 2.
Let us know what you think!
